"Brother, your radio station is a real blessing to me!! I stream your Internet radio station, "Smooth Pizzazz" here at work and it allows me to praise him, get centered, stay focused and increase my productivity all at the same time!!!" -- Joe A. Robinson

"You have also exposed me to some great Christian Jazz that I was not aware of!! I am going to tell others about Smooth Pizzazz radio station as well as direct them to your website. Keep up the good work!!!"--Lucile Packard

More satisfied listeners!

I just happened upon your internet radio station by searching for Christian jazz on the web.  I have listened to the one hour a week that my local Christian radio station plays Christian jazz and longed for more of the same.  I LOVE your stations selection of  jazz and the combo of inspirational music and jazz is great.  So, I wanted you to know that I appreciate what you are putting out here for the listeners and, myself in particular and I want to encourage you to continue for many, many years to come.  Thank you so much."--Karen Hunt

I discovered you a few weeks ago via a search for stations that play the YellowJackets, of which there are few. I was raised on Big Band, Bop, Cool, Blues ... jazz, and in recent years I've also come to love Latin and a few other things, one of which is the YellowJackets. I was raised in the church and appreciate the neat arrangements of various "church tunes" that you sprinkle in as well. Thank you for your station! -- Carl McMullen

Thank you for praise jazz! I just stated singing...I never do that when I listen to other stations - John McClure

I have to be honest I haven't been much of a church going person, but my love for music is like a battery and I know the Lord is the battery/ When I ran into your station I said this is it! Keep up the good work and keep the same format, I know religious music is in all genres of music, but like myself love smooth jazz therefore I want to listen to Christian smooth jazz. Take care and God Bless. - Manuel Pena

Just found your station, "Smooth Pizzazz" on Live365. Excellent mix - I'm sharing with my friends. Keep up the good work, and keep spicing things up with Tower of Power (love the funky horns)!! -             Randy Jackson Tulsa, OK

Bro,
"I thank God for what you're doing! I will tell tons of other Christians about your radio station, "Smooth Pizzazz".  I am kind of tired of the mainstream CCM and have been listening to secular smooth jazz for a few years. Unfortunately, we just lost our smooth jazz station in St.Louis, MO. To find Christian jazz is like finding water in the desert..."       Jeff Hassinger

Devotional

"Living Water"

When Jesus met the woman at the well, she was doing her hard chore of carrying water back from an ancient well, allegedly dug centuries before by Jacob. There is life-giving power in that mysterious water, dependably emerging from hidden depths for all of these generations. Jesus offers the woman "living water, ...a spring of water gushing up to eternal life."

That living water is within each of us. It is a dependable spring hidden in our depths where we are connected to the presence and life-giving power of God. Things like prayer, worship, study of Scripture and inspirational writing -- all kinds of devotional practices -- are used to "prime the pump." It usually takes a little concentration and energy to get the flow going. But there is an amazing gushing power that emerges from within us to cool and refresh, to cleanse and renew, to quench and strengthen.

The water is always there. Quiet, dark and hidden. Ready to emerge in happy gushes. It takes a little concentration and effort to prime and pump. And afterwards there's a good bit of carrying necessary to carry the water's effect into the rest of life. But the water is always there, deep within us. Its supply is infinite.

Rev. Lowell Grisham

Saxophonist/Composer Lance Bryant's unique article covering insights about the history of jazz, a range of jazz topics as well as great,  "in depth" insight on Duke Ellington, Mary Lou Williams, and John Coltrane ...    "It was during a concert while I was playing with the Lionel Hampton band in Europe. I remember sitting there in the sax section listening to Charles Stephens play his trombone solo.. He was up front playing his solo and suddenly, pow! (demonstrates) He scooped into a loud high note and immediately glissed downward. Seemed like the whole band responded with an Owww! or yeah! Again on his trombone he shouted and the band reacted.
