Beth Duncan

Chances are you've heard Beth Duncan on the radio or seen her on TV. Beth is an award winning broadcast journalist who's been reporting news and traffic information for more than 25 years in Sacramento, California.

Beth started singing at the age of five in church and has gravitated toward vocal opportunities ever since. She studied with prestigious Vocal Coach Judy Davis in Berkeley for several years. Beth made a living singing cover tunes in local clubs along with engagements on the road. She continued to sing while working in broadcasting for quite some time but decided to take a break from the music scene. The break lasted far too long...

"I grew up listening to Jazz. My brother played everything from Miles Davis to Stan Getz to Mel Torme and Ella etc. Around the house My mom used to sing bits and pieces of jazz songs like "Give Me The Simple Life" and many others".

In recent years her desire to sing kept nagging at her so she made a u-turn back to her music roots and seriously tackled what her soul was craving - Jazz!

Beth also shares that, "the Jazz Standards on this CD are a perfect fit for what I want to express about passion, enduring love, faithfulness & thankfulness. I have a huge heart for marriage! Plus, jazz is fun, challenging and etched in my being!!"
